Level 2b Camping at Batangas

What: Second Level Camping
Where: Altamira Resort, Laiya, San Juan, Batangas
When: May 08-09, 2010

And after a long ride from Manila, we finally set to the beach - again.

Here are my camp groupmates.

This is the cow that rested on the second station of the mountain that we climbed.

Actually, this is the batch who delayed themselves (ourselves) due to physical conditions. Most people here, including me, chose not to proceed to the summit nor to the 3rd station, and went back to the campsite early. On the way up the mountain I experienced very quick pounding of the heart that can be felt on my throat, and my hearing began to fade. A long rest on a stone beside the cliff slightly made me recover and made me able to go back down, almost safely.

There. Sir Romeo Lee with the cow.

A nice view of the beach just before sunset came.

My favorite part: documenting the kitchen.

By night night, we set a bonfire (which wasn't actually permitted) to roast marshmallows. Yum!

We had a fun time playing Dana's story-from-playing-cards and telling stories and me telling facts. We saw the Lagoon Nebula right in front of our eyes, and watched a spectacular and unpredictable meteor shower.
We slept in blankets propped in the shore but around 3 A.M. rain suddenly came so we transferred to the tent, which is just in front of us then.
Then morning just came.

While group breakfast is made, I hung out with another group, where my swim buddies were, and were actually newfound friends, except for Melvyn.

I will definitely miss this summer. :)

Level 1a Camping at Zambales (First Part)

Here's the long lost first part of the earlier last part.

What: First Level Camp - PE 2 Camping
Where: San Antonio, Zambales
When: April 17-18, 2010

I wasn't able to bring my camera to the island, so too bad I have no owned photo of the beach, the boat, the island, and our swimming. But they're on my Facebook account though.
Now let's head straight to cooking.

This is the tent interior. We all are under low energy, yet we still have to brainstorm for a group performance.

Something like this. But not this.

The next day we went mountain climbing.

Figure out how much sweat I was able to excrete then.

So there. :)
